Celebrating our Graduating Classes!

As the 2023-2024 school year has come to a close, we have so much to celebrate!

At the end of June, we gathered to celebrate the graduation of our eighth grade class. Twenty-one of these scholars will attend specialized, selective, and elite private high schools, our highest number ever. While we wait for the results of their Algebra I and Earth Science Regents exams as well as the New York State Assessment exams, we anticipate they will show that the overwhelming majority of our eighth grade class is fully prepared for high school.

To be here in front of you all, is truly a dream come true. My origin story is like that of many Mexican immigrants. Being here on this podium meant my parents made so many sacrifices. My parents were teenagers when they arrived here and had a journey that involved walking in the heat…with no food and water just to get here to the United States. It is a literal journey that allowed me to be with all of you at CQA.
— Emily, 8th Grade Valedictorian

We also celebrated our youngest learners, our Kindergarten scholars, at a stepping up graduation ceremony, which was held in our newly opened gymnasium.

More great news!

We recently saw terrific results from our spring survey as 98% of families said they trust CQA. This kind of positive family-school partnership is instrumental in recruiting new families to our schools. Our families helped us obtain over 1,550 applications for our lottery for next school year. The demand in our community inspires us to make sure that CQA II will be ready to open this August. Construction on the new CQA facility is moving at a rapid pace. And with enrollment, hiring and curriculum nearly complete, we will soon be ready for our next set of future leaders and shining stars.
