RESIDENT PROFILE
We seek candidates who are deeply passionate about teaching and committed to providing all students with a high-quality, enriching education. Ideal residents are intellectually curious lifelong learners who embrace feedback and coaching. They should also demonstrate strong motivation and self-efficacy, ensuring they can set and achieve their goals throughout the program.
Eligible applicants should also have the following requirements:
A GPA of 3.0 (B average) or higher in a completed undergraduate degree program from a regionally accredited college or university. Program must be completed by the start of the residency program.
An aptitude for completing graduate-level coursework and academic projects of substantial scope and breadth, as well as a capacity for making positive contributions in your professional life
Sensitivity to others, flexibility, self-awareness, and a willingness and capacity to engage in self-reflection
Positive interpersonal skills in relationships with both children and adults
A healthy motivation and commitment to learning, children, and young adults
Be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent reside
Willing to make a 3-year commitment to CQA following completion of the residency program if offered a lead teacher position

Attend an Interview Day
All top candidates will be invited to an in-person interview. Interviews are typically 2-4 hours and are located at CQA. Applicants will get an opportunity to see the campus and meet with our school leaders and CQA Next Team.
Receive Residency Placement
Conditional offers will be extended to candidates pending acceptance to Touro. Once a candidate accepts the offer, they will be matched with a clinical coach. At this time candidates will also be sent their official CQA Commitments. Upon signing, candidates will move to enrollment as members of the new enrolling cohort.
